25 Foot Single Arm DB Overhead Walking Lunge, right
40 Double Unders
25 Foot Single Arm DB OH Lunge, left

Part 2
) 3 Position Ring Push-up Support Rings set at 6" off floor:
-3 sets of 10 seconds at each position (turn in, parallel, turn out)
2) 5x5 Ring Push-ups
*Scale up: Ring Dips

Dru's Story

My first experience in weightlifting started in high school, with Coach Lebsock. I had discovered the skills and conditioning drills all the football players were doing and wanted to partake. Though I hung out with football kids in the weight room, my true passion was with Hockey. I played competitively up until the end of my freshman year of College (2004) where my days of being a hockey goalie abruptly ended. During hockey's off season the Billings Stamped were looking for some warm bodies. Long story short, I got my jaw broken and found myself in a hospital with my jaw wired shut and never really got back into the sport or lifting.

How did I hear about Crossfit? Skip ahead to 2007-8 my former Boss and I decided we needed to get back in shape! Back then, there was no Crossfit. We found out that there was this guy named Yurii who was doing personal training in his shed! Like seriously, we worked out in a shed. I don’t think any of us knew what Yurii was dishing out to us was Crossfit! What ever we were doing was working and I was hooked.


I was so hooked on Crossfit I found some like minded individuals and ventured deep into the Crossfit culture. After attending a CF-Level 1 seminar, I enjoyed helping and training with others who share the same passion and drive for bettering their skills and movements. I also found a community of people who bring the support of the gym to the life outside the gym. From rock climbing, to hiking and rafting, grabbing dinners and having backyard BBQ’s, all the way to traveling to regionals and across the states to compete in team competitions. Crossfit is more than just going to a gym. I am thankful for the friendships built through crossfit and the ability to push myself to improve daily. Crossfit Billings has exceptional trainers and from the warm-up to the end of the WOD you are continually improving yourself while still having fun.
